Hello with English Breakfast

Here's my updated Blog that'll feature my Premier Coup (First Strike) daily paintings.  All the featured paintings are available for purchase through a Paypal link associated with the piece.  You can click on my Daily Paint Works Gallery page in the right column of the blog and take a look at all my Premier Coup paintings.

Premier Coup translates to first strike and it's been popularized by Duane Keiser in his "painting a day" work.  Premier coup paintings are painted in one session, "alla prima".  Hey! What's with all this foreign language? I know, just put up with me for a few more sentences.

So why is this blog named "Postcards from Florida"? Good question.  It's patterned after Julian Merrow-Smith's "Postcard from Provence" daily painting process.  In my case, I'll paint scenes and things from my native Florida. They'll all be painted from life. Many pieces will be still-life and some will be landscape or maybe even figurative (if you count our cat as a figure).  Basically, anything that catches my eye and just screams PAINT ME.

Anyhoo, that's what'll be on this blog.  Please stick with it, and if you're so inclined, subscribe to the blog so you never miss a beat.  Here's one of the pieces I recently finished.
